Elias Taylor is a researcher focused on the intersection of social justice, criminal justice, and the experiences of marginalized communities, particularly transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. His work examines issues such as transgender joy and resilience in criminal justice, highlighting the strength and coping mechanisms of transgender people within the prison system, and abortion access for incarcerated women, exploring barriers to reproductive rights behind bars.
His work further explores hate related injury and violence against the transgender and gender non-conforming community, analyzing the physical, emotional, and societal impact of such violence. Through his research, Elias aims to advocate for justice, equity, and systemic reform, amplifying the voices of marginalized communities in both academic discourse and public policy. He also owns four cats and travels across the country to attend comic conventions in his spare time.
