Suriyah Benjamin, Research Intern
Suriyah Benjamin is a senior undergraduate student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, majoring in Forensic Psychology. As part of the Future of Public Safety Scholars Program, she is dedicated to finding data-driven solutions for legal system challenges. Her background includes internship experience at the Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the ICAC Task Force at the New York City Police Department, and Covenant House New York. Suriyah plans to pursue graduate studies, aiming to integrate behavioral neuroscience into the legal framework to advance criminal justice reform.
