Shelley Johnson, PhD, Fellow
Dr. Shelley Johnson is a professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2001. Her areas of interest include: corrections, criminological theory, and victimization. She has authored over 30 academic publications, including 4 books and has been awarded over $6.5 million dollars in external funding from federal, state, and local agencies to conduct research on a variety of correctional interventions. Finally, Dr. Johnson provides consultation to agencies throughout the country on the topics of classification and assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based services, problem solving courts, and re-entry.
