Samantha Balak, Administrative Assistant
With a deep-rooted passion for justice and a strong academic background, Samantha Balak holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her academic training has equipped her with a strong foundation in public policy, research methods, criminal justice reform, and social justice.
Samantha also works as a Policy Coordinator for P2PH (From Punishment to Public Health) where she is responsible for integrating and amplifying the policy priorities of P2PH and our partners, collaborating with stakeholders across various agencies and community-based organizations, and organizing networking events for young professionals. She also supports P2PH's evaluation and technical assistance efforts in collaboration with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and assists in the organization of community events like the Brownsville Safety Alliance (BSA) and P2PH’s regular panel and conference events.
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys traveling and exploring new culinary experiences, further expanding her passion for connecting with diverse communities and cultures.
